Indoor cultivation, tips for flowering.
How to know the needs of our plants in relation to fertilization and environmental parameters? Punctual guide for managing the flowering phase in indoor cultivation rooms.
LUMENS:
The lighting of your grow room is essential to obtain excellent results, this parameter is closely linked to the presence of carbon dioxide and nutrients which combined together allow the plant to trigger photosynthesis.
If you are not aware of the technical data relating to your lighting systems, check them. The light intensity or Lumen is not a parameter to be analyzed individually, if your lamp is not phytostimulant (therefore with a PAR value and an adequate color temperature) even having a lot of lumens available does not bring results. The recommended lamps are HPS lamps with a light spectrum for horticulture which has a color temperature of approximately 2,100K. Today there are even more performing CMH/LEC lamps which have PAR (photosynthetically active radiation) parameters superior to HPS as well as low consumption CFL lamps which on the other hand have far lower performance.
CLIMATE:
The ideal temperature inside a grow room should be around 23°/25°, with humidity no higher than 35%/40%.
With these parameters you will be able to obtain an ideal environment for the plant and not very favorable to the formation of fungi, mold and parasites.
Bring the relative humidity of the grow room to 30% in the first 15 days of flowering, a very dry environment favors the density and production of trichomes.
PH:
Check the Ph of the nutrient solution so that it is always around 6.0%, but if you grow hydroponically a parameter between 5.5% and 5.8% is necessary. Misaligned parameters lead to difficulties in nutrient absorption and slowdowns in development
PK:
During the flowering phase, 2 macroelements are fundamental: Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K). With these 2 elements the plant structures and produces the entire flowering sector: flowers, terpenes, stems... Always use a Booster in the second flowering phase, this will allow you to obtain optimal results and in some cases even much above average. Always remember that especially if you use non-organic elements, the final washing phase is essential for purity of taste.
DO NOT PRUNE:
During the flowering phase the plant suffers from pruning, this constitutes a strong stress which could cause growth to stop and like all stress elements lead to hermaphroditism.
All pruning , trimming, cropping, etc. they must be done in the vegetative phase.
CULTIVATION METHODS:
We recommend 2 methods for growing indoors in your Growbox :
Longer vegetative growth period to apply to a few plants that will grow larger.
Sea Of Grean (SOG) which instead significantly shortens the first growth phase and immediately passes to the flowering phase. To use this method, use pots no larger than 7 litres, position them one next to the other, provide 18 hours of light (vegetative) for a maximum of 7 days, then induce flowering by changing the hours of light to 12.
This method is also used with rooted cuttings which are put into flowering immediately.
BEWARE OF ODORS:
Always pay attention to smells, plants in the flowering phase produce a very strong and penetrating aroma, the grower's perception is often not accurate because you get used to it and start to perceive it less. Always use activated carbon filters for air intake so as not to "disturb" the neighborhood with odors that may be unwelcome.
