Santa Sativa has the honor of being one of the first Sativa-dominant marijuana seeds in the Dinafem Seeds catalogue. Perhaps this is why this hybrid with an intense Haze flavor resulting from the union between a Haze#1 and a Skunk x Northern Lights is one of our breeders' favorite strains. But its resistance and robustness, its enormous production capacity, its vigorous growth and, obviously, its power also certainly help. All this makes it a classic that cannot be missing from the portfolio of lovers of Sativa-dominant hybrids.
MORPHOLOGY
Santa Sativa is a beautiful marijuana plant of great height, easy to grow and productive, whose appearance generally expresses robustness and majesty, along the lines of other similar hybrids such as Moby Dick or White Siberian. Its medium/long internodal distance and its broad Indica-style leaves promote moisture transpiration. Santa Sativa manifests its Sativa strength through its extraordinary capacity for both vertical and horizontal growth, but without the languidness of pure Sativas. In fact, its robustness is such that it does not require the help of guardians during flowering despite its length and high yields; the plant is perfectly capable of holding its very large floral clusters on its own.
PRODUCTION
Santa Sativa is an excellent producer of elongated, compact and very resinous buds.
AROMA AND FLAVOR
Santa Sativa flowers exude a penetrating Haze aroma with notes of pine, wood, lemon, cedar and incense, nuances that become more intense after curing and which, once in the mouth, are enriched by very fresh and fragrant floral reminiscences.
EFFECT
Occasional cannabis users or those unaccustomed to THC should be extremely cautious with this ultra-potent strain. Because its 70% Sativa predominance translates into a totally euphoric and cerebral effect at the beginning which then continues with a hit of absolute physical relaxation that stops every movement.
CULTIVATION
One of the main advantages of Santa Sativa is its vigor, which greatly facilitates cultivation. The only possible complication, particularly inside, is that it needs a lot of space to grow. In fact, the growing needs of Santa Sativa and Moby Dick are quite similar. Both need ample space, lots of light and, above all, large quantities of nutrients that balance the deficiencies caused by their vigorous metabolisms. In return, these gluttons will reward your generosity with huge quantities of spectacularly potent buds. So, don't be stingy and give this wonderful plant all the nutrients it needs. You'll see that it will be worth it!
As we said before, if you grow it indoors, you will have to keep in mind that Santa Sativa has a tendency to stretch considerably in search of light. Therefore, if you want to avoid excessive growth, we recommend limiting the growing season to three weeks. On the other hand, it must be said that this unbridled growth is accompanied by a great vigor which makes the use of supports or in any case a support method during flowering superfluous.
And here we come to the only flaw of Santa Sativa, that is, a certainly long flowering period. In outdoor cultivations, with warm, sunny, Mediterranean and temperate climates, the harvest takes place towards the end of October and the beginning of November, while indoors, despite having rather fast growth, flowering lasts around 70-80 days. There are those who even let it mature for a few more days in order to increase the final quantity of resin.
