What happens when a pure Afghan strain is crossed with Northern Lights and Skunk? Indica Crystal Extreme, also known as ICE, is born, a plant completely covered in resin glands. The buds produced by this magnificent hybrid are so resinous and sparkling that we thought it more appropriate to give it a name, rather than the simple acronym ICE.
By combining the prowess of three legendary and powerful strains (Afghan, Northern Lights and Skunk ) Indica Crystal Extreme was born. Its name suggests this plant's most precious qualities: a glittering sheath of trichomes that accumulate en masse in the final weeks of flowering. For all hashish producers, there is no better raw material than ICE .
CULTIVATION
The feminized ICE shows the typical growth of indica-dominant strains, reaching rather modest heights of 100cm indoors. When left to grow freely outdoors, it can reach up to 200cm . Despite its rather compact structure, pinching and trimming the apical parts can stimulate lateral growth, with greater final yields. Growers will notice that this cannabis plant tends to develop classic indica characteristics, with large, stubby leaves. Light defoliation may be helpful to allow light to reach the lower bud sites.
ICE produces more than generous yields, offering around 500-550g/plant outdoors and 400–450g/m² indoors under 600W lights. It prefers warmer climates, such as Spain and California.
ICE is ready to harvest after 8 weeks of flowering. However, many growers let it mature a few days longer, up to 10 weeks, to maximize the resin content. During the flowering period, we are confident that you too will find ICE to be one of the most beautiful cannabis plants to grow.
EFFECT, AROMA AND FLAVOR
ICE makes up for harvest delays with amazing smokable marijuana. Her heavy indica genetics deliver waves of pure relaxation. Since this is a plant that can easily be nailed to the sofa, it is best enjoyed in the evening. Its aromatic profile is defined by balanced notes of spices and earth, with a touch of mint. The overall experience of this strain is best described as calming.
